Supported Options Initiative

Supported Options Initiative

The Supported Options Initiative (SOI) is a collaboration established in 2010 between Unbound Philanthropy and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. The SOI encourages and supports innovation in helping children and young people in the UK who are disadvantaged by irregular immigration status, to live full lives.

The SOI has three main goals: first, increased citizenship registration of marginalised UK-born children; second, improved support to young people with irregular immigration status to explore their options and make choices about their future; and third, to understand the experiences of young people and share these experiences and practical responses with practitioners and policy makers.
