Shifting Ground: Views on immigration during the long term and during election campaigns

Shifting Ground: Views on immigration during the long term and during election campaigns is a new study by Ipsos MORI, an Unbound Philanthropy grant-holder, which combines existing data with new findings from a longitudinal study that followed voters during, throughout, and after Britain's 2015 General Election campaign in order to track changes in individuals’ attitudes.

The report finds that, over time, immigration has become a more political and salient issue, second to the economy and healthcare. The report also shows that there has been a shift in the perceived "taboo" around immigration.
