How We Work

One-hundred women, including women who were undocumented, had the courage to be arrested for immigration reform that treats women fairly and keeps families together. We make grants in the US and UK to organizations whose activities are strongly aligned with our mission, and which fit within our 2014-2018 Strategic Plan priorities

We take a collaborative and non-partisan approach in everything we do. We leverage funding available for grantees by working in partnership and collaboration with other funders.

Unbound Philanthropy’s founders believe our philanthropic role in creating social change is to take calculated risks, experiment, fill gaps strategically, and invest in learning along the way. These beliefs have strongly influenced Unbound Philanthropy’s approach, which is committed to supporting change for the long haul.

We invest in a thoughtful balance of “tried and true” and innovative approaches. We build in time to reflect on how our grantmaking is delivering value, and where we and our partners are advancing positive change.
